What?! Is this not a reasonable place to park?! Oh wait it is! :)

So we have gotten the car back from the car doctor’s. It now has four tires that are all round! It is still missing a door handle though but hopefully we can get that fixed next week. However on the car topic! After a year and a half on the waiting list we have finally gotten a parking stall in our building, (when I say stall I really mean its a spot that is exactly the same size as our car so there is not much room to open doors or anything but I am not complaining) It is one of the most fantastic things ever! We get to come home and go from the car up an elevator to our house. Novel! We have been up till this point parking in the Gastown parkade down the street, and walking home. It is only a block with a stop for coffee on the way, so I don’t mind that, what is a pain, is hauling 37 tonnes of photo gear a block three times a week! Seriously I dare anyone to haul a light kit and my camera bag that far I dare ya! It is like the gift that keeps on giving! Hurray!

Once again I am sitting in the airport.

Waiting for our plane that as it stands right now will only be about an hour late due to weather, I can’t complain because when I look out the window of the airport I can’t see much of anything because the snow is in the way. Last night we went over to see Sherry, Peter & Terra. Somehow (I am not really sure what I was thinking, or as the day goes on I am deciding that I was not really thinking at all) I managed to drink two bottles of wine to myself on basically an empty stomach. Now it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to acknowledge that this is a really bad idea, but yet I did it anyway. I seriously can honestly say that I have never ever never been this hung over in my entire life. See when I used to this sort of thing when I was 18 I somehow was able to bound out of bed in the morning and go to work, go to school, or as it was most often do it all over again. In my old age however I am afraid that I am not able to bounce right back from an evening of debauchery especially this particular evening that somehow managed to keep me very very close to the washroom for most of it. I couldn’t even drive into Edmonton this morning because I was still super queasy and it required a great deal of concentration to not be sick all over again. Why??? I am not a stupid teenager or anything. We will be home today and hopefully our car will have the appropriate number of tires and they will all hold air! But I am going to try and sleep now so bah

Random adventures in snow

So being that we live in a land that for the most part is completely devoid of snow, you some times forget that it can be fun! Today we are going to go on a guided snow adventure! it will be fun. M’s father is going to take us to some back woods places that he know for photo fun!

It’s Christmas people! We are waiting at the Airport!

Yup after a week that reminded me of the craziness that was our move to the rainy City, we are hopefully on the tail end of this rollercoaster ride that has been our lives. I am super tired and not really interested in anything Christmas but in an effort to be like everybody else, I will fake it!!

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

Now for those that know me, me wishing people a Merry Christmas may sound a little funny. You see I HATE Christmas and all its consumerist traditions. I won’t get into it but I have a hard time getting behind the holiday season for it usually means that none of the stores are open and that there is nothing good on TV, and well it is a pain! However any time people are nice to other people even if they were told to do so by some foolish holiday ideal, and even though they are mean bastards to everyone the rest of the year, I can’t complain. So Happy Holidays and be sure to drink heavily.

We had an awesome wedding yesterday, there is something about weddings on holidays that make them so different then a regular wedding, Update on the car it looks like the only damage we did was ruin the tires! I fully expected that there were bent rims, damaged undercarrage, and some sort of you drove over a curb dumass so we are revoking your right to drive ticket! But it looks like this is not the case! So that makes me happy. After driving the delica for a day, coupled with ruining my car via a simple parking curb, it really makes me want an xterra. This summer maybe! Well I am going to make the most of my paid internet and browse facebook and stuff for 45 min. Happy Holidays.

What?! Is this not a reasonable place to park?!

So it would seem that I drive poorly and my car is not a 4X4!

Yup in a mad race to hit the Future shop before it closed I managed to do this! Wasn’t going really that fast or anything but I really launched it over the curb! Not a big deal except 3 tires actually exploded in the process. THREE!!! I can stick my fingers though the side wall. WTF!!! So ya Not a 4X4 it would seem!

Thanks Josh for the lift and coming out! and the forthcoming Delica loan tomorrow! You ROCK!!

Yes Mr. President the Disaster has been Averted!

So if I was ever to think Christmas was really a magical time of year it would be now. One of our vender’s actually delivered and the second vender disaster was solved by a very nice family operation out in Burnaby. Hanna Art Studios swooped in and saved the day like George Bush running for a taco! Props! Now I am going to tinker on my blog, work on our latest wedding, and wait for the Great Dave of Nakedness to arrive on our fair shores and demand beer!
