These photos were taken on my way back from jasper way back in 2005. Those of us here in Vancouver often forget that we have such privilege to have the wilderness literally outside of our door. You see when you live in Edmonton you have to drive 4-6 hours to even come close to what we in Vancouver have available on the north shore.

You see I was driving back from Jasper and it was getting late and we still had hours to drive. I saw the light fading over this hill and I knew it was a photo that I was going to love, but I was already tired of driving and just wanted to be home…. Do I stop or don’t I? The answer is ALWAYS STOP TO TAKE THE PHOTO :) After all there isn’t any point in carrying your camera everywhere if you are just going to skip past the opportunists that present themselves :)
