May 22, 2025, was in fact, the last time I added a photo to Lightroom, so when I say a long time, I mean it has been a long time! 93 days ago! WOW! Summer is always a busy time for me, so when you look at the number of photos I take per month, the summer months tend to be less than the winter ones, but rarely are they actually non-existent. :)

This summer has been packed with many fun things though, so I should give myself a pass for not taking more time for photowalks. I have gone camping quite a bit with the kiddos, and there were a ton of festivals and a lot of all-night raves! I went to Otherworld, Bass Coast, and Shambhala, and I was supposed to be on my way to Burning Man today, but I decided against it when I hurt my back on top of all the other things going on in the next two to three weeks.

Those things are just small ones, like selling Hycliffe and moving into a new house (still on the north shore, sorry, East Van, we tried to get back over there) at this moment I am 99.9% moved with just a couple of things left at the old house and a run or two to the Dump/Donation bins and some genreal yard cleanup to do. But with the aforementioned hurt back, it is slow going to say the least.

Back to the photo end of things though today I had a bit of time to kill on South Granville Street (which is actually pretty much the north end of Granville Street as a whole, but because it is south of False Creek, it gets called South Granville), so to pass the time, I brought along the Hassy (that still needs a name BTW)

I only brought the one lens, and I also forgot my light meter. With the almost 5-8 stops of difference between the sunny and shady spots, I had to resort to a lot of guessing/sunny 16 until I eventually just downloaded a light meter app for my phone that was slightly more helpful.
