I do love exploring the urban labyrinth of Vancouver’s (or any other city for that matter) alleys and digging into the seedy underbelly of these forgotten places. The alley in particular is one of my favourite examples of the organically created happenstance that is the utilitarian nature of alleys. how “authorized” art was created in an attempt to curb the ‘unauthorized art” all while being beaten and scared by the daily hustle of truck deliveries nesting pidgin’s and hobo’s just doing there thing. ??
and it the midst of all this hidden chaos I managed to catch these few moments of contrast.

A solitary figure captured in motion down an urban alleyway, flanked by the textured walls of Emily Carr University, Vancouver, photographed with a Leica M-D (Typ 262) and Canon 50mm f/1.4 LTM lens.

The stark contrast of graffiti against a geometric mural captures the essence of street art on Commercial Drive, Vancouver, through the sharp focus of a Leica M-D (Typ 262) paired with a Canon 50mm f/1.4 LTM."
