It is no surprise that wanting to drive a Manual transmission Two Door Rubicon Jeep means that the options in the used market are going to be super limited. I mentioned the other day that this was the last Manual Transmission Two Door Rubicon that I could find available for sale in any searchable database in Canada. This means that because I am entirely NOT flexible on the type of transmission and the number of doors (two door stick FTW) and the Rubicon Model, it means that I have to entirely flexible when It comes to colour…. and well absolutely everything else. :)
back in 2020 when I bought #tinythejeep there was huge demand on the used jeep market. Something about wanting to find a 4×4 road and ditch society seems to appeal to folks then. This effected the price of the Rubicon model especially hard, so when I found a used Sahara two door stick for a good deal, particularly as compared to the same year Rubicons that were available, re-gearing and adding lockers to it didn’t seem all that expensive.
This time around now that we are post pandemic, there wasn’t such a difference in the pricing between the different models available in the used market. It made sense to search for a Rubicon for the Lockers and 4:10 gears installed from factory as apposed to aftermarket adding that all that my self.
This is a long winded way to say that I had some very specific demands when searching the used market and colour was not something I could be picky about. So to find one in Yellow was a particular treat! If I was to build one brand new from the factory it would have been this jeep :) I really liked the yellow but I didn’t realize just how similar the yellow was to the Nissan Xterra Yellow.… It seams it was basically exactly the same.
For those that are not in the know, I owned a Nissan Xterra for 11 years prior to the Pandemic and owning #tinythejeep. We had soooooo many adventures in that truck and I really missed the colour.
