Today I found my self over at Leg In Boot Square. Yup that is what it is actually called. Located near the Wicklow pub and the Charleson Park on False Creek, which apparently received its name from an incident in which a stray disembodied leg was found in a boot some time in 1887. The leg was reportedly hung on a pole in front of the police station for nearly two weeks but it was never claimed.

Auto Repair
More colour from my trip to the camera show last week. I heart New West for its old broken buildings. I fear that they are going to “clean up” the neighborhood and build shinny new uninteresting condos before I get a chance to explore them all. I suppose some sort of concerted effort on my part may be in order. :)
I enjoy that almost all the A’s are missing of some of the signs. I wonder if they were stolen or if there wasn’t enough A’s in the letters that they used? :)
Trains to Camera Shows
In addition to being world Pinhole Camera Day, yesterday was also the Camera Show & Swap out in Burnaby. I decided to get up early and grab the long train out to Loughheed Mall instead of driving mostly so I could take photos on the way. While the show itself didn’t present any super awesome deals, the train did provide some awesome photos :)
This guys was seriously hitchin a ride on the skytrain. He had his thumb out until the train audibly started slowing down :)
I meandered out to New Westminster as well on the way back where I found many awesome photos. After, I went to commercial station and walked up to meet up with Miranda at K&E’s. So many photos but for another time. Off to collect peeps from airports soon :)
Our House Is A Venue :)
Today was a crazy crazy busy day! I think our home should just officially apply for a liqueur license and we should become some sort of awesome networking/party/gallery type venue. With the brief exception of Chris M I was officially the only guy in a room full of 45-50 woman. I know right :) Tonight was the first #vansassybiz gathering that my darling wife set up, complete with wine, tea, & oh so much food. Watch the BOP blog for a post awesome post.
This time management thing is working out well for me. The simple act of paying attention to what i am doing every second is kept me from dicking about on the internet or reading magazines when I am supposed to be working :) I have accomplished more on my list of things to do in the last 30ish hours then most of last week.
Ok enough talking about stuff, on with the photos. Ok these three photos were taken in the middle of the night during last weekends walk back from Cambie and Broadway.
All were shot handheld with the canon 5d mark II and the 50mm f/1.2 using in camera Black & White contrasty profiles. I heart night photos.

Thursday Is A Work Day :(
And not a super awesome snowboarding day like it was yesterday. The weather was awesome and the snow was quite good once it all softened up around mid day. I went up sky chair for the first time ever and what a crazy crazy view form up there.
Today’s photos are from the other day’s photo wander, I am thinking I am going to try and get away for a couple hours on Sunday and do some more wandering about perhaps New West or something, who knows, anyway I have a client soon so I best find a clean shirt or something.
Morning Photo Wanders
When one is supposed to be working but finds that the mood isn’t quite right, one may be inclined to perhaps instead enjoy a walk about town under the loose guise of a work related activity, like say going to the post office. On one of these ‘work related activity’ walks one may even be inclined to perhaps take a camera with him. In fact one may even be inclined to take photos of things with that camera as he walks. If one was the adventurous sort one could even possibly combine these two activities and perhaps maybe call it a photo walk.
I guess I am to go this way?

Power is for wussies!
The sad pinging of depleted UPS’s and the distinct lack of all other computer humming must mean that the power is out right? Yuppers it looks like G-town is with out electricity this morning! Well how the hell are you blogging then you ask, well I will tell you! You see it seems that when the power is out and the jerks servers are off he has no ability to really work. (I require the simultaneous operation of at least three computers plus assorted networking equipment to work! I am sure that it doesnt need to be that way but you know i am a geek) so what does a jerk do!! Well he abandons his wife to entertain herself and goes somewhere that has both power and Internet! (did I mention that I am a jerk?) I had no real/new photos on my MacBook to blog so I trudged along my trusty camera to take some new ones! There are from my search for internet and power!
Well in the time it took me to do/type all this it looks like the power is still out so i guess more wandering is in order! :)
So after a great night out I think I should blog creative photos drunk!
Yup I think this is best!! I fear though that all this drunken blogging is going to make people believe that I am some sort of drunken fool I am not normally but is seems lately that I am free to attend all these random drunk fests that result in me being drunk! I took some photos on the way home so let’s see if I am able to take drunk photos as well as sober ones

I have to asumme that they are stacking this in so very neat to make sure that they can fit a lot, but it sorta seams a bit odd to me :)
