A couple of time a week I will wander over to the railtown JJ-Bean for a morning coffee. I as always take my camera and I always try and walk a different route. Today I decided to walk the long way around only to discover that the railtown JJ-Bean is closed today for renovations. I in fact even knew this… It was plastered all over the door and counter for at least the last week…. I even read it and made a mental note that they would be closed…. I remembered none of this till I got there. :) I instead walked to the Hogan’s Alley over in china town and these are the photos.

I love how wet things look so much more colourful and have way more contrast. It may even explain my love of the rain :)

It was a nice day today so I went out for a walk. There were so many busking folks out today so there was plenty of music to guide me along :)

Getting things together for this years Culture Crawl I have been sorting though the vast back catalog that is my photo drive I have been collecting a large number of snow photos it would seem.

I walk this street a few times a week to go to my fav coffee shop, & I drive it nearly every day  & I never noticed that there is a little ‘park’ just off the street before! :) 

One of the hardest things that I have to deal with is visual memory. If I am used to a place I can get complacent to things around me and then stop noticing the details like I would in an unfamiliar location. So sometimes I like to walk places that I have been 9000 times before and force myself to find things that I have never noticed/photographed before. last friday was one of those walks.

I had just gotten my new spot tracker and wanted to play with the GPS but it wasn’t really working well indoors (go-figure) so I went for a quick walk literally around the block so I could track me and I found new things :)

Looking at the last few weeks I think I have been going crazy with the Black & White! So I think I will jazz things up with a bit of colour!

I wonder how many times this wall has been tagged and cleaned and tagged and cleaned again.

There are two things that are really particularly awesome about these photos… One is the Harley Davidson & naked lady stickers on the rear window, the second is the owner of this Harley Davidson/naked lady sticker laden Suzuki mini truck came up and enthusiastically talked to me after I took these photos. He was very excited that some was potentially interested in buying it from him.  He told me all the ways that you can make money with the vehicle including hiring it out as a mini dump truck for hard to reach places. Now what was awesome was the man was decked out head to toe in leather/denim Harley Davidson swag. He was “asking 7 for it” and that I should tell all my friends who might be looking for a career change that this was a really fantastic way to make “tonnes of cash!” I heart random people stopping and talking to me because I have a camera.

We went for coffee with a bunch of photographers this morning and somehow managed to drink four really strong Americanos in a row on an empty stomach so I am basically all over the board right now being totally unable to concentrate on much for more then a few seconds at a time.  Which is weird because after high school I assumed that I drank too much coffee and broke all the effects that caffeine had on me. So for many years I would drink coffee and not have it really do anything other then taste good. So this is a bit of a surprise and it is also a bit of a trip down memory lane to be buzzing on caffeine again. I am serious that it has been since I was in high-school that I was buzzing on coffee! FUN!!! I WANT TO DO SO MANY THINGS RIGHT NOW BUT I CAN’T BECAUSE I CAN’T CONCENTRATE ON ANYTHING FOR MORE THEN 3 SECONDS!!!! :)
