These next couple posts are devoted to Stuff found On Posts and Walls. Seriously whilst wandering about it the wilds I find an enormous amount of stuff posted on poles or on walls that is just really interesting. Some times it is an advertisement, sometimes it’s graffiti, other times it is the ravings of weirdos, and sometimes I have no idea what the hell it is about. As such I think I will start a new collection of the ‘Stuff I Find Posted On Stuff’ :)
Thanks to Rachael for point this last one out :)
Last year at around this time I had snagged this commission to do photos for a hotel & restaurant renovation on Robson street. The creative team hired me to create what I normally do edgy gritty and creative, but then didn’t want anything edgy, nothing creative, and definitely nothing gritty. They instead wanted the typical lame hotel art drivel that makes us all cringe. The project thus fell through when I got tired of ruining art, but I did manage to create some awesome work that I am just getting to look at now.
Seriously this is one of the only photos that I took all weekend.
And it is not even really all that good :)
It was a weekend of relaxing and music, camping, and complicated dinners for Lani, Noah, Shan, Josh, Miranda, Corbin & I and while I had my camera with me the way that I always do I didn’t really bring it out except for this one instance. We went up the sunshine coast to a place called Porpoise Bay just past Sechelt, BC. We took the Trillium and Corbin Seemed to have a blast :)
So one of the benefits of have an a tiny human is that you are up’n'at’em bright and freaking early :) As someone with kids I indirectly know once said “You know that you are a parent when you haven’t set an alarm clock on two years” As such the kiddo and I will often go for walks to run errands and such. This was from here in Railtown on our way to the JJ.Bean :)
