So Josh & I stumbled upon this rundown copper smelting plant thing on the way home from Alberta! I spotted this tower from the highway in the town of Greenwood BC, and after a few random roads we found this place. You can read more about it here!

good god.
Oh, wow! Very eerie.
This reminds me of one of my favourite children’s books, “The Island Of Adventure”, by Enid Blyton. It’s about 4 kids who discover a secret tunnel to an abandoned coppermine and discover a counterfeiting ring in the mine.
Its funny you mention that because as a young kid I was so scared of these devious counterfeiters (even though I wasn’t 100% sure what they did) because I think about 40% of the Hardy Boys plots involved them busting up some nefarious counterfeiting scheme of some sort.
I stumbled across this picture while looking up pictures of greenwood, as i spent the majority of my childhood there, and lived there for some time as well.
I have been in that smelter, and all throughout that area as a child, so this picture makes me smile.
You did an excellent job capturing its magnificence
