It has been a hot minute since I was at 1000 Parker Street

It has been truly a hot minute since I’ve been to the back Alley behind 1000 Parker Street. Back in my grungy family photographer days this was frequented fairly often as it’s such a great colourful backdrop. But since “retiring” from the professional photographer racket I don’t think I’ve been here once. It is definitely more full of graffiti that I’ve ever seen it.

It has always been covered with some sort of street art, but this is pretty crazy, comparatively to what it used to be. I might have to revisit with a model or some other fun juxtaposition. These were all taken was just my iPhone as I did a rookie mistake and forgot my spare Leica M-D battery on the charger at home. I did capture a few photos with the Hasselblad, but y’all have to wait and see that film when it comes back from the lab.

Oh and speaking of shooting film on the Hasselblad, I have super exciting news that I’m not quite ready to share just quite yet, but suffice it to say the delay for waiting for film to get developed to see the hassy goodness will definitely be drastically reduced in the future. I’m excited to share what will inevitably be a completely brand new era in my photography.
