North Shore Adventures

Part of my photographic year end wrap up is to wade through all the photos of the year and post some things that may have been missed. These photos are from April 8th when I was shooting an engagement session for an awesome couple there.

Why do you take photos?

I like to take photos of things.
Some day the things that I take photos of will be gone.
Some things will be gone sooner than other things.
Somethings just change slightly.
Other things are removed completely from existence.
As though they had never even existed.
With a little luck the photo will always mark that thing into that place and that time, forever.
That in itself is a good reason to take a photo.

Picking On Complete Strangers.

This evening I had a photo session in Coal Harbour so I left early and walked down picking on people as I went. (side note: I have a tonne of gear in the Brixton and it was totally fine to walk there and back with two bodies and the heavy ass 70-200mm f/2.8G) _DDF3963---September-08,-2014 _DDF4002---September-08,-2014 _DDF4015---September-08,-2014 _DDF4031---September-08,-2014 _DDF4037---September-08,-2014

Mexican Navy’s tall ship Cuauhtémoc at the Burrard Dry Dock Pier

As mentioned last night Kiddo & I went for a wander to North Vancouver to check out the Mexican Navy’s tall ship called Cuauhtémoc that is at the Burrard Dry Dock Pier.

It is actually tall. That isn’t just a figure of speech :)
