Gas-town Photo-walk

Off to the races

On the weekend M & I were Celebrity Judges for a hat contest at an awesome fund-raising event that the ever awesome Lani helped put on for Building Opportunities With Business The event was held down at the Hastings Race Track, where we got to hang out with our co-celebrity judges John Fluevog & Kim Cathers (there! I am done with the name dropping) We got to be kinda famous and watch horses run around in a circle, it couldn’t be much more awesome then that, yet somehow it so was! There was beer, steak, and potato salad to go with all our gambling craziness. M only lost like $13.00 so you know we were getting out of hand.

Sunsets and Power lines

These are shots from a couple of days ago shot with the new Canon 1D Mark II.

We had some time to kill because the wait for a table was about an hour at the New Joey Tomatoes. So we drove about and grabbed photos. This is a super neat setting that I am eager to experiment with some more. Perhaps some really long film night shots.
