August Is A Great Time To Talk About Snow.
These are actually iPhone shots from the top of the sky chair from on of the few times i hit the slopes last winter. I just feel like talking about snow.

Learning The Accordion
So last Christmas at the Mint Records Xmas show I bought Geoff Berner’s ‘How To Be An Accordion Player’ book to go with my Accordion Man it is a super awesome book that has very little to do with actual accordion playing but more instead it has more to do with being a whisky swilling drunken jackass :) Complete with a Stalin Centrefold.

Polaroids of A Porsche
After getting my ‘morning‘* coffee I took a polaroid of this porsche! Now this Porsche for some unknown reason always seems to pull in to the coffee shop’s parking lot just as I am getting my coffee. This is probably not at all strange to you folk with morning routines and well I know of the idea behind Commuting Friends (people who ride the same bus at the same time everyday and thus become acquaintances/friends) and other things that people with morning routines have. So if I got my coffee at the same time every day I would understand but I am not a creature of habit! Daily routine is truly a foreign concept to me. I am always getting coffee at wildly different times on wildly different days and this Car is always pulling in just as I leave. ODD! Perhaps in the complexity of the universe there are two people that are so without routine that their non-routine lives are on the same schedule, and these two folk like JJ. Bean coffee! :)

Well it has been a super busy year thus far, so busy in fact that we here at My Friend Lisa have been on a bit of a break to deal with all the crazy busy! However fear not the creative wheels are a spinning once again! In fact this past week found us hard at work, re-imaging one of our first long forgotten songs, and working our newest My Friend Lisa Member into our song ‘London’. Everyone meet ‘Champ’ our honest to goodness vintage Ace Tone Drum Machine! (last photo) Once we have some of these re-works all worked out. There should hopefully be some studio time booked for us in this fall.
