More Construction Photos
I doubt that I could comfortably work on display like this.

Ani Difranco tonight Super excited!! I heart Ani Difranco!
No commentsIt Will Be Sad When This Is Finally Gone…
…because it has sorta become part of Vancouver for me. It has been up nearly as long as I have lived here and I have taken 10 billion photos of it. Alas however, it looks as though they are finally nearing completion of the Fairmont Residences (the project that this walkway is protecting us from) so I am sure that this tunnel that has been a part of the landscape will soon be gone.

Seymour’s Vacant Buildings
It seems to have a great deal of them. These are from across the street which required some patience in regards to the traffic. I had to wait for a few minutes to find the gap in traffic.

My Friend Lisa Jam tonight! Super Excited! We haven’t jammed for so long!!
No commentsFoggy Mornings & Flying Things
I heard this helicopter but couldn’t see it for the fog. I assumed the noise was from the helijet pad and was simply echoing about till this huge helicopter lifted up out of the fog. Kinda crazy!

Anywho I have an early morning cult meeting to attend.
1 commentI Heart Blue!
Yuppers I love that morning shade type light

Oh so Blue : ) Oh so awesome!
I am shooting head shots for an entire school of journalism today so busy! :)
No commentsYup Time For An Epic Post!
So in typical jerk fashion I am going to make a feeble attempt to make up for months of sporadic posting with one long post filled with many photos and few words!
This morning I couldn’t sleep so I decided that I should go for a long walk. I took my RB67, 5D, a bunch of film, and a light meter and off I went. here are some of the Digital shots. The film will come someday

It wasn’t cold out but these birds sorta look cold.

I heart this train yard. I am glad we are still close where we are moving to.

It often seems like there is more effort put into the scaffolding on these “lets pretty up our city” projects then the pretty project them selves.

Interesting note on this. That curb is askew like that because I accidentally pushed it out of the way with the Xterra. We were shooting a portrit session with a couple which is why I parked there. When we left I drove forward pushing it askew like it is. Just a note about how sign of the things we do are always about us!

I have taken 75 billion photos of this silly fountain and this is by far the first one I liked. Something about it always brings me back to shoot it again but until now this is the first one I have enjoyed.

I had turned around to take photo of the empty cross walk when I saw the shadow and the feet I grabbed it instead :)
4 commentsThe Rain Is Back!
Having been in Alberta all week, where precipitation falls as snow, it is really quite awesome to get back to the land of humidity! It may take me a week to adjust. Now I am going to say this because its true, but I love the rain. Photo-walking in Vancouver is simply brilliant in the cloudy drizzle. Overcast is awesome for the light & the rain makes colours pop! That & I am not sweating my ass off while I wander about! All win win I figure! :) I guess I am meant to live here.
Anyway… these are shots from out my window. I wont have this view for much longer so I figure I should document it well. I Promise I will talk about the new home at some point just not now :)

still homesick
One thing I do miss from Alberta is wide open fields even if I am feeling quite homesick for Vancouver! Taken of me by Miranda during an awesome photoshoot we did this afternoon!

Crashing at the Awesome Unit in cow-town tonight, and I can not begin to explain how i am super excited to hit the highway early in the morning. I miss my cats and my home.
No commentsHomesick…
Yup I am in Ralph Country, Or Pil Country, also known as Creston Beer country, and the land of ice and snow! I have been for nearly a week and I am home sick. Never in my life have I been home sick before, & trust me I managed to be a bit of a vagabond for many years. It’s funny because some one asked me if I was headed home for thanksgiving, and after some thought I have to say that Vancouver is officially my home now. I am only visiting Alberta & I simply can’t wait to head home! Especially now that we have a home that is ours (I say ours but really for the next 25 years it belongs to the bank) We are moving in at the end of November (the 28th to be exact) and while I am prepared to move all by myself I am offering beer & pizza to any would be box haulers out there :). The plan is to have our pro-photog party and our house warming that following weekend so keep your calendars free for November 28th and December 5th!! Thus forcing us to unpack and organize quickly. That is the idea anyway! anyhow I ave to run and shoot a wedding now. Just dropping a note.
No commentsI Love Patterns
Especially the patterns that happen all by themselves on gravel roads and pavement.

Taken on a random backroad near Fort Saskatchewan Alberta.
I should make a book….
….of photos called My Xterra In Random Places!

Yup because I have a lot of them:)
This is the Xterra On a community lawn in Fort Saskatchewan. It was OK because we followed other tracks in right :)
Slugs Are Swell

So I should Blog at least a few photos from our trip to north Vancouver Island. I have been meaning to but well it has been a bit of a crazy month for reasons that I will eventually get into once it is not so crazy. So here you are! Banana Slug!
