I have wanted to take this photo from the middle of the Lions Gate Bridge forever, and I finally was able to do so.

…and no I am not hanging in the middle of traffic! The bridge was closed to clean up an accident (non fatal so that is good) so I walked along, hopped the rail and took the photo! There is something about hanging in places that you are not supposed to hang that makes it really cool! Especially when you are on foot in a realm normally devoted to cars!! Now to try and get this photo at night!

This is a photo from part two of last Thursdays photo shoot. We just popped down to our parkade for some photo fun. Again Sarah did a fantastic job with the makeup/hair and Michelle looked fantastic! Good fun all around!

I was a nice day so I went for a scoot! I found these photos and I took them because I am a thief like that!

…….. and oh ya did I mention that it is February! Ha all you suckers that live in e-town (you know who you are) you have crappy winter and I have Cherry Blossoms!

So I am not one to usually advocate these sorts of things for they tend to fall into the realm of Crap and other useless BS, but I will promote this one.

Now I am not naive enough to think that sending 5000 or 10,000 signatures to Polaroid will make them reverse their decision to stop making something that isn’t making them money. They are a company not a socialist nation! We are talking instant film here!! A medium that provides inferior image quality when compared to even the most crappy cell phone camera! We are not curing cancer. (ironically I am sure this film actually causes cancer) we simply wanna dabble in old camera futility. But yet here I am toting this as something you should do. I like Polaroid film and Polaroid’s decision to stop making it doesn’t mean it won’t exist anymore it will just be expensive and hard to get. Fuji still makes pack film (in fact the Fuji FP-100C is far superior to 100 speed Polaroid film, but the black and white FP-100B sucks) and they should see the sales increase with Polaroid out of the market! Heck they may even expand their line (I doubt that would ever happen) The point is I can hope that 5000 or 10,000 or 500,000 of us can change the minds of some corp executives that make much more then I do, I just don’t think it is likely.

This doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try.

So we had an awesome party last night even if I did drink way to much! I crashed out before most people even left, it was a little rough this morning but after breakfast I was doing ok :)

So thanks to all who came it was fun because you were all there! (other wise I would have been sitting around drinking by myself and that would have been really pathetic) the jackalope even made an appearance and spawned a possible new name for the band.

Well the News at 11 was an hour late but here you all are. Today as I said before I went up a mountain with a new model Michelle. I had a snowy forest idea and Sarah Bergeest was able to work her magic in the makeup & hair department! They both were troopers dealing with ridiculous amounts of snow and rain, as well as having a good time! (that’s hard to do without a snowboard under ya. ) I wish I had a video crew to follow us around because dealing with the 10ft of snow was hilarious and should been seen!!! I say 10ft mostly because I don’t know!! I kept sinking to my waist and not touching the ground so who knows how far that went!!! Anyway here is a photo

As opposed to looking at the thousands of unseen photos that I alluded to yesterday, I am off to a mountain today to take some more.  I just have to stop and pick up a fog machine first. Hear more with the new at 11!

As you know I have been going through the archives of the institute as of late, and I came across a photo shoot that I did in 2004 that I have never even looked at! I feel like Garry Winogrand lately taking photos and not looking at them, but what can you do really. So ya this was a shoot that we did in studio as well as on a snowy golf course in an Alberta November! I ended up getting fairly busy and going though this shoot got back burnered untill today.

As my loving M said yesterday “it has been four years since we have had a life” Its funny that concept of time to do things for the sake of doing them as apposed to a means to an end. well anyway I am going to try and find some photogenic snow so enjoy.

So on our trips around the lower mainland searching for goodies in antiuqe stores and thrift shops I found this flyer on this camera swap meet! I thought I would let all you peeps know about it!

Alright so I had a great birthday yesterday thanks in part to Dadeo’s Restaurant, The North Shore Crew, a Filthy weasel, and my darling wife! (who puts up with me and my intermittent explosive disorder!) Thanks every one for a good time!! Oh and thanks Julio for the random blue concoctions! Yum!
