China Town

This is a shot from a nice unseasonably warm day in January that Rob & I decided would be fantastic for taking photos. We wandered around China town and over to this church that is not for off.

Nice Night?

What does on do on a night so beautiful as this one? Go for coffee with Roy for a couple of hours, drive him home & then due to circumstance stay awake for the rest of the night. Here is how it goes! I drive home after dropping Roy off with the windows down and the radio on. A night as warm and calm as this has not been seen in a long time by the likes of me! I park at home to discover that our bikes are strewn about 10 feet away from their home and the bike locks are cut :( I don’t know if my late arrival home stopped the would be thief(s) in mid action or if he/they realized that the tires were flat and abandoned the crime. So up to the house I bring the now unsecured bikes. I sit down read my email, use the washroom, and look out side to see a lighting storm like I have never seen before!!! The sky didn’t go black for 10 min for there were so many strikes. I grab my camera, tripod and an Umbrella and out the door I go to the legislature. By this time the nice calm night that I was relishing in earlier has turned in to the storm of storms. The wind is quick and decisive so much so, it snatched up my umbrella and tossed it most of the way across the legislature grounds with out getting even remotely close to the ground till it was deposited some where out of my sight! (I was able to retrieve it after the storm passed and let me tell you it was quite the hike) So after setting up in a sheltered area I started firing of photos I took about 420 photos to get this one.

Park!!

So I am sitting here waiting for the glue on my glasses to dry and I thought I would post. I am simply to lazy to get new glasses, they are even fully covered from m’s work, so I will just keep gluing these ones. Till they cease to be glueable. No new calls from A computer store but I think I may have had another HD fail over night so after a few weddings I will probably have to go there and buy a new one. I figured it out the other day We have 638 Gigs of hard drive space in our house spread across 7 or 8 drives and that is not even remotely enough. I laugh because there is over ½ a terabyte in our house and we are always out of space. I remember when I got an 8 gig drive years ago and I had more then enough space to do what ever I wanted. Add 630 and 5 years and I am spending my life burning DVD’s just to maintain some breathing room. Ahh well, it is the nature of the beast I guess .

LOL Ram update

So the Computer store called my house. I didnt answer cause I assumed that they would leave a msg, but the didn’t. I have made sure that I didnt leave anything there. Like a bank card or something but I have all that I am supposed to. I am wishing that I had answered now! cause if they were like we made a mistake and we want it back I was going to laugh!

Oh ya does anyone want to buy 2 256 sticks of 200pin DDR 2100 Ram?

Twilla

You know it is crazy when you discover something about your laptop that you didn’t know before. Apparently I have a built in microphone! Who knew! My Laptop is also the proud owner of a gig of Kingston Ram. However that isn’t the best part, I went down to A Computers store to try there cheap ass crap Ram maybe I would buy a stick or something but I had little faith that that crap Ram would really work. And I was Right it didn’t, so the guy who wasn’t very clever in the ways of the Ram says to me
“well we have some Kingston ram.”
I laughed a little to my self because I expected it to be super expensive, but I asked any way…
“how much?”
After much fumbling around and walking from the front to the back to the front and back to the back he came back to the front and said $70 each. To which I replied sure I will take two!!! You see Kingston ram is super expensive, to buy it from lets say future shop or Staples would cost about $200 a stick and I got two for $140! In fact it was cheaper then the Cheap Ass Ram that they had for $105 I paid and ran!!
