paraphrasing
Well Well I have Actually written like three posts that never made it up on the site over the last few days. On was sitting as a draft in Movable type, the other others are in random word documents that are sitting on various computers between work and home. I keep meaning to go though them and fix that horrible grammar that comes from being interrupted every two min and actually post them. But in re-reading them I see that they are totally made irrelevant by the proceedings that occurred after them. So they will not be posted but the relevant info will be paraphrased. Let said paraphrasing begin! :)
Miranda and I bought a Bug 1969 but you all know that I am sure. I have been taking some photos of it over the past few days.

I have begun plans for a Carputer. I am thinking that I will start with a simple PII 500 with whatever ram I can dig out from around here and a really cool power supply that I have found online. This is a DC-to-DC Converting 12V Power supply that will convert the incoming power from the alternator or the battery to a steady smooth 12, 5 and 3.3 Volts so a computer can use it. It is an ATX power supply complete with all the features and power management features that come with that. The Best part about it all is that the Power supplies input voltages can fluctuate to as low as 8volt and as high as 18volts while still providing a steady clear 12, 5, & 3.3 to the computer its self. That means that the car can be started and the lights turned on and all these things that draw power can be operated in the car and the Computer shouldn’t reboot or suffer from fluctuating power problems. This is all fine and what not but the down point (cause there always is one) is that this wondrous piece of hard ware is running about $120 US. (So about 150ish CDN) But that is the first part of the battle for carputer superiority, Next thing I will tackle after that is the Interface. But that is for another day.
We didn’t get pixies tickets to the van show via Ticket Master as planned, it was insane they sold out in a few minuets and Edmonton sold out in under 8 Min. We have how ever bought some tickets for the Thursday show In Vancouver from Ebay.
We are going to sell our Edmonton Ones on Ebay or via See & Vue. I don’t know what we are going to ask for them but that is the plan.
I have four days off coming up in the next few days, and It is the end of this 7 to 10 in a row Bs that I have been getting for I have discovered the joy of Booking Non-availability. (Guaranteed days off that I want) I am going to try and get caught up on photos over the next few days. I have about 3 or 4 photo shoots that I am tiring like hell to get worked though but I am not having any luck. Just been busy and working a bunch. I am going for coffee with Danelia tomorrow which will be fun for I haven’t had the chance to do that is far to long. So ya
Oh ya I have big news But it isn’t official yet so I will reframe fro saying It But just cause I am an ass I will get you all to start wondering now.
2 commentsLooking for Vee-Dub Beetles & Bitching About Work
So Miranda and I have been looking at Vee dub bugs. You see we have wanted to buy a bug for our company car for quite a while but we have been lazy about doing so. Our car, which the alternator has fallen out of again today, is sometimes a slight pain to own & maintain so we would like an alternative. I am really torn though I mean I love our golf it is uber efficient and we know all about the three things that can go wrong with it (mostly because they are always going wrong) and it is super fun to road trip with. We may just keep both of them for a while until we are sure that the new bug is a good car and that there isn’t a need to have two.
We were looking at this purple one

that is in Gibbons. We haven’t actually gone out and looked at the car but we had been talking with the owner, who is in Austria, about what the car needs and what problems exist with it. It has some rust and we are a little concerned about the work that had been done to it. That and there is some rust in the heater channels, which for those not in the know, is bad news. I think we have basically scrapped that as a viable option.
However, we have also been looking at this Green one that is uber nice but more expensive. We will see how it all goes.

More Photos from my studio photoshoot with Sommers

I was scheduled to have a shoot with a model named Sheena but she is a Taekwondo champ and got kicked in the face at a competition and has a big fat shiner so I guess so we are going to postpone that photo shoot. :) I am sure we will rebook and it is for the best really because I wasn’t really prepared to shoot this morning anyway.
I am getting sick of this Scheduled 7 days in a row BS I hurt everywhere in fact I am going to stop typing soon because my wrists are killing me. It isn’t like I am typing more or less then I normally do but these crappy stations & the bad chairs are what I think are causing all the pain. I am just bitching. I will stop now.

So here I am at work writing another Haphazard, constantly interrupted, blog entry. It seams that I am so bloody busy lately that the blog is getting extremely neglected. And when I do pay attention to the bloody thing I end up sounding like a lobotomized chimp.
The Pixies! I am so stoked for the shows, I want to see them here and then see them in Van and man if I was rich I would follow them to utah and the places after that. You see mine and Darren’s biggest bitch ever has been that we have never been to The Pixies live. That sir is all going to change. This trip is going to be more fun then when the pigs ate Grandpa I am Super Stoked for the trip
I am uber excited about going on a trip this summer. While I had originally planned for us to go south to San Francisco along the coast, and then over to the Desert and death valley and up via Las Vegas. Miranda is all unsure of where she wants to go and she isn’t really interested in the trip that I have sorta planned. That is fair enough for it isn’t really that exciting for a relaxing trip, it is a lot of time in a car, but it is super cool when it comes to photos. There is so much on the road that could make it a rocking trip. But it isn’t very relaxing. It is a little tough to get into planning it and everything because for a little more money then we would be spending to go south we could go to Europe How ever Miranda isn’t really She only wants to go tot places like Tiland and Tibet and while these would truly rock I am afraid that plane tickets are more money then an entire trip down the coast. We will see how things work out.
I Still haven’t gotten the web site up I have been busy and sick and well really tired lately so It is suffering. Next week maybe. I mean I am still working on the photos from January, so we will see if I can get caught up before march :)
Thanks to all for the B-day wishes and no 27 doesn’t feel much different then 26 :)
Now that I have posted this entry it actually took place over three days at work of grossly interrupted thought. :)

To the Tiger in response to the question “were you an alcoholic” Just say Nah I just thought the idea of spending my Friday nights making an ass of myself, spending too much money, and talking about shit that at the time I was totally sure was the most profound shit ever, was starting to get a little old and tired. The amount of fun that I had on these excursions was always balanced off sharply by the time spent puking in the bathroom sink of some seedy bar while some mullet toting jackass wearing an iamcanadian bandana, is flip flopping between trying to hug me and trying to punch me. This may be a little long for your particular purposes however it is quite explicit.

More Photos From Sommers Studio Photoshoot
It is official We are going to see the Pixies on their reunion tour in Vancouver with the Tiger himself. We will drive out on Wednesday the 21st of April right after I get off work.
I just got home from work but between calls I worked on photos from this photo shoot. I would talk more about it but Miranda & I are off to coffee with Roy and Mike.

Models and My weekend
I haven’t posted very many words in along time but I have been sort of busy. I am at work right now so I am sure that this entry is going to sound like it was written by a four year old. I have been pretty busy with random stuff as of late
Monday I, having the day off work, woke up at some ungodly hour to drive Miranda to the airport. After dropping her off I hung around to take some shots of the airplanes taking off and what not. I am not sure if I got many good shots I had to stand on the roof of the car with a tripod and what have to get over fence. I also had delusions that I was driving some beefy 4X4 because I managed to get stuck twice on these airport adventures. After the Sun came up, the awesome shots taken, and the Car was unstuck from a foot of snow fro the last time, I fired off to St. Albert to drop off some forms & paperwork & such. It was an uber nice drive on an uber nice day.
At about 11 am I had a photo shoot with Sommers (her modeling pseudonym) I was pretty excited to meet up with her because we have been trying to work our schedules for about two or three months now. This photoshoot rocked, she is a natural model I hardly had to instruct on what to do & I think I have a lot of great shots from this single shoot.

I am actually really amazed because I am only the second photographer that she has ever worked with and she acted totally pro about everything. If she wants too she could go far as a model. She has a super interesting look to her as well that I am totally thinking of different ideas for future shoots. I am very excited to see what the shots are going to turn out like, but from a quick glance at the digital proofs I can see a lot of potential on a lot of fantastic shots. She brought a friend with her that I have forgotten her name, but her friend was uber fun in fact they both were pretty fun to hang around with while we were in the shoot, we all were able to talk about bands and what not and the shows that we have been to as of late. In fact I think we spent out ten min looking for a particular Modest Mouse song that we wanted to hear. We did eventually abandon this cause it was taking forever, and we didn’t ever actually find the song. :) Our little kitten was super sociable, in fact it was sort of a good thing that she brought her friend over who became our official photo shoot kitten wrangler. I think that I am going to have to start inspecting bags and what have you when people leave to make sure that no one is catnapping our cute kitten, because it has been threatened many times by multiple people.
I also had another photo shoot with Cara later that afternoon.

We did some basic studio work for a while but we also ventured out side for a quick stint, however, even with it being uber nice out it was still a little chilly for such things. After the shoot I ran back to the Municipal Airport and Picked Miranda up from her flight from Calgary. After some food, we drove around for a bit did some shopping. Came home watched some CSI.
On Saturday I was to have a photo shoot with Kristen in the morning but she was a no show. So I had the morning free to try and get caught up on photos. Miranda and went out & about to the antique store & I think that we drove to Dons Photo to look at the Random light stuff. At 3ish I had a photo shoot with Cara a model from Muse cube.

It was a good shoot as well we did some simple studio work as well as a venture into the stairwell. I think that we have got some great stuff here but only time and Photoshop will tell. Later that night we picked up Roy and went to M&M’s for movies and Video games. Good times indeed.
