Photo shoot with Shauna

I went out on a shoot with Shauna today, it was good times in deed. We started the days adventure at the Starbucks across the street and after a cup of the awful yet surprisingly potent swill that they call coffee we went to the LRT. We went down to Government station where I tried the blurred train and still person picture we will see how it turns out. We then basically wondered around the downtown and made our way back to 109. I found that she was a blast to work with and I think that I got some great stuff here. Only time and Developing will tell.

I had a photo shoot with Jodie again today. We went around the Downtown and grabbed about 4 rolls of B&W and some digital. I should get a chance to go through some of them soon, Tomorrow I have a shoot with Shauna so that should also prove to be fun and productive !!

We went to Banff

Well We decided on Friday that we were bored and the we should go to Banff for the weekend. I thought that that was a lovely Idea and after 20min of packing we were off. On Saturday Miranda went white water rafting and I climbed this big mountain in the edge of Banff and got some great shots. I hope that I can get some up her soon. We went for Fondue that night at this Odd little restaurant on the main strip (I cant quite remember what it was called)it was the best meal that I have had in a long time. Well I am sure that there is much more to be said about Banff but I will let the photos do it for me when I can get them up here.

Road side Pond

This is a shot of a pond that is on the outskirts of Edmonton. It was really neat to see this so close to the city.

So after a week of trying to get into my Dev art account I discovered that I had a typo in my email addy. So after setting up a new alias and actually getting the email I feel silly :)

My DevArt is BROKEN!

ARG my deviant art account is broken!!! I have no idea why buy it refused to let me log on last week. So I requested the password retrieval thing but it doesn’t send you your password it changes it. No big deal except that the email never arrived. I am curious because dev art is one of the only places that I have ever put a real email address, and I always use the same password for all my online stuff. I don’t know if my account was hijacked or if there is some funky code. SO I have emailed them twice trying to get it fixed but thus far I have not received a reply.

Developing day for me

So In an effort to get caught up in my developing I began today with the sole intention of developing all the film that I have in queue. Well there were 13 rolls of film in queue, and I have only one tank :) Well I should say that I only HAD one tank. I was going along good but at 45 min a roll you do the math. So after about 6 rolls I finally got fed up and I went to McBain and bought a larger tank. So now I can do two rolls at a time instead of only one. I would have gotten the three roll tank except, unlike the two roll tank, it didn’t come with any spindles. So in addition to the tank I would also have to buy two of those at $15 a piece. two is lovely anything that cuts my work and time in half is very cool :) So at the end of today I am entirely caught up! All 13 rolls.

New Zoom Lens

In what was a major surprise to me we went out and bought us a 70-300mm Zoom lens. It is amazing you can spy on the neighbors and take sneaky shot of people that aren’t aware :)

New Battery Pack

So after learning that the batteries for the new camera are 25 bux plus we went out today and bought the Canon battery pack.

It allows you to use any 4 AA batteries instead. It adds some much needed weight to the camera as well as another vertical shutter button :) It is very cool to say the least! Well off for coffee now !!

NEW Canon Rebel 2000

Well today we bought a new camera! We bought a Canon Rebel 2000 With a 28-80mm Lens.
169270.jpg
It is awesome to use. It has 7 focusing points, programmed settings from full auto to full manual. Aperture priority and Shutter priority. 1/2000 to 30sec and A BULB SETTING!!! It actually has a bulb setting. For those that are thinking of getting a Nikon F55 or F65 DON’T this camera is far superior. Well I am going to go and play with the camera now :)
